Blue Wellness at Taplow Lakeside

We are often asked is there a difference between wellness and wellbeing. So here’s our view, wellbeing is a holistic state of being, while wellness refers to the active pursuit of that state.

Wellbeing is a broad, holistic concept that encompasses a person’s overall quality of life. It’s about how you feel and function in the world. It includes physical, mental, emotional, social, financial, and spiritual health. Wellbeing is the result of living a fulfilling life, where you feel content, have a sense of purpose, and can cope with life’s challenges.

Wellness is the conscious, self-directed process of making choices that lead to a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more about the actions you take, such as eating a nutritious diet, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and managing stress.

In summary, Wellness is what you do, while wellbeing is how you are. You engage in wellness activities to improve your overall wellbeing. Our Blue Wellness courses and activities support you on your journey to wellbeing. They will introduce you to a number of ways you can use water to exercise and help you manage stress.
